Welcome to Basecamp at Snowbowl!

Basecamp at Snowbowl is Arizona Snowbowl’s premier destination for lodging and dining. Located at the base of Snowbowl Road, Basecamp offers guests the quality, comfort, and convenience of the closest lodging to the ski resort, with cozy cabins and a full-service restaurant and bar.

Basecamp is open year-round for lodging and dining and offers guests free lift tickets when you book with us.

Discover the Best of Northern Arizona

Snowbowl is open in the summer for scenic gondola rides, fun activities for all ages, and dining, and runs from June – October. When the ski season ends, there are still plenty of adventures to be had and areas to explore in the region! The fun never stops at Basecamp.

Lowell Observatory

“The mission of Lowell Observatory is to pursue the study of astronomy, especially the study of our solar system and its evolution; to conduct pure research in astronomical phenomena; and to maintain quality public education and outreach programs to bring the results of astronomical research to the general public.”

Bearizona

“Bearizona Wildlife Park is located on approximately 160 acres in beautiful Williams, AZ.

As a member of the Zoological Association of America as well as the American Association of Zoo Keepers, Bearizona is dedicated to responsible wildlife management, conservation, and education.

Everyday, visitors can drive through over three miles of Ponderosa Pine Forest viewing North American animals in their natural habitats.”

The Grand Canyon

Lava Tubes

“This mile-long lava tube cave was formed roughly 700,000 years ago by molten rock that erupted from a volcanic vent in nearby Hart Prairie. The top, sides and bottom of the flow cooled and solidified first, after which the insides of the lava river continued to flow emptying out the present cave.”

About 14 miles north of Flagstaff on paved highways and graveled Forest Roads. Travel time is about 45 minutes. GPS: 35°20’32.2″N 111°50’08.2″W

Walnut Canyon

“Since time immemorial, Indigenous Peoples have lived and traveled throughout Walnut Canyon’s dynamic landscape. Vibrant communities built their homes in the cliffs and farmed along the canyon’s rim. Today the park preserves this landscape, and the ancestral homes in and around the canyon.”
