23/24 Winter Season Opening Day
November 17, 2023 @ 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Mark your calendars! We’re opening for the 23/24 winter season on November 17, 2023 and it’s going to be a day of fun you won’t want to miss!
On Friday, November 17, 2023, at 9 AM, the Grand Canyon Express Chairlift and Little Spruce Conveyor will begin spinning! The Grand Canyon Express Chairlift will allow access to intermediate trails including Midway Catwalk, Logjam, Wild Turkey, and Round Up. The Little Spruce Conveyor will allow access to a very limited amount of beginner terrain. Available terrain is subject to change, stay tuned on our Snow Report page.
Our snowmakers have been working tirelessly to produce the best quality snow for another great opening day and will continue to strive to get more terrain open as weather permits. Early season conditions do exist, ski and ride with care.
Free Donuts & Hot Cocoa
Donuts and hot cocoa will be available at the Grand Canyon Express Chairlift from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, while supplies last! Swing by the Snowbowl tent to fuel up with a warm cup of hot cocoa and a donut before a day full of fun out on the slopes!
Free Opening Day T-Shirts
Everyone loves t-shirts and we’re giving out FREE ones at Grand Canyon Express to everyone in the lift line, while supplies last!
BlackStrap F1rst Chair Project
Arizona Snowbowl and BlackStrap have partnered together to amplify the stoke of winter by bringing the F1rst Chair Project to Arizona Snowbowl. On opening day, the first 50 skiers or boarders to show up at the Grand Canyon Express Chairlift will receive a custom Arizona Snowbowl branded BlackStrap Single Layer Tube face mask. Live Music at Hart Prairie Lodge
Get your groove on at the Hart Prairie Lodge from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM with live music from DJ FRSH!

- Early season conditions do exist, ski & ride with care.
- Guest Services and Rentals at the Hart Prairie Lodge will open at 8 AM.
- Hart Prairie Lodge Restaurant will open at 8 AM.
- Grand Canyon Express and Little Spruce Conveyor will begin spinning at 9 AM.
- Grand Canyon Express Chairlift will provide access to intermediate terrain only.
- Little Spruce Conveyor will provide access to beginner terrain only.
- Agassiz Lodge Restaurant will open at 10 AM.
- All lift tickets must be purchased online.
- Rentals must be reserved online.
- Season passes must be picked up from Guest Services at the Hart Prairie Lodge.
