Stop by the Snowbowl tent every Sunday in December & January from 9 AM – 12:30 PM to show off your collision awareness and have the chance to win winter gear such as skis, snowboards, bindings, helmets, and more!
Collision safety is a highly important topic to understand and it is your responsibility as a skier or snowboarder to ski & ride in control. The #RideAnotherDay campaign promotes three actions every skier and rider can take to help keep themselves and those around safer on the slopes.
In order to spin win prizes during the Collision Camp events, you must memorize these three actions below and recite them back to a Health & Safety Committee Member.
Be ready to slow down or avoid objects or other people at any time. Ski and ride in such a way that you are always able to control yourself regardless of conditions and avoid others and objects you may encounter on the run, groomed or otherwise.
Stay alert to what’s going on around you, especially other skiers and riders. Being aware of those around and changing conditions will help you have a fun and safe day on the hill.
Ease up at blind spots, check uphill when merging onto trails, and give other skiers plenty of room when passing. Look out for spots on the run where traffic merges or you can’t see what’s coming next. If you are unfamiliar with a run, take it easy the first time down it and make note of places where you’ll want to slow down, such as cat tracks and rollers. Also, give other skiers and riders lots or room, especially if you are passing them. There’s plenty of space out there, so there’s no need to crowd each other.
By doing these three things every run, you’ll be helping keep the slopes safe and enjoyable, for you and everyone else.
There will be a daily Sunday giveaway item as well as a monthly giveaway item that you’ll have a chance to win!
The daily giveaway drawing will take place at 12:30 PM at the Snowbowl tent on the day of the Collision Camp event. Guests must be present to win daily prize.
The monthly giveaway drawing will take place at the end of December & January. Guests do not need to be present to win this item. A member from the Health & Safety Committee will reach out upon drawing.
The December monthly prize is a pair of skis!
Complimentary hot chocolate and a sunscreen station will be available. See you there!
